Kolo can help you with all your Asheville Adventure.
We work with a range of outfitters in Asheville that can help you experience a variety of adventures that are renowned in the area.
The main Kolo location is at…
Here you’ll find zip lines, an adventure park, tree climbing, a free-fall jump, and the Kolo Bike Park… all located just 5 minutes from downtown Asheville. Learn more about all the fun things to do at the Adventure Center of Asheville.
Kolo also operates a rental bike outpost at the Smoky Mountain Adventure Center. Located right on the greenway near the French Broad River Park, Carrier Park and the River Arts District.
The SMAC – as it’s known – houses a large indoor climbing and bouldering gym, a yoga studio, and a bar with local brews. You can also book a float or paddle trip from French Broad Outfitters.
If you want your water adventure to be a little more “wild”…The good folks at Wildwater Rafting will make sure you get wet at one of their 5 regional outposts. You can zip line there too while you’re at it.
More About Bikes
There are an obscene number of bike shops in the Asheville area. It demonstrates the passion we have for the sport around here! You can find just about anything you need at one of the local shops. Visiting all of them would be an adventure in itself… So, here ya go:

Beer is an Asheville Adventure
If you think there are a lot of bike shops in this town…just try checking out all the breweries! We do NOT recommend you “sample” them all in one outing! That could end up being more of an Asheville adventure than you bargained for. The founder of Kolo first promoted the slogan “Ride Bikes. Drink Beer.” back in 2001 when there were just 2 breweries… We know a trend when we see one!
We’re just sticking with those that brew their own beers in the Asheville city limits here. Because otherwise, this list would be waaaaay too long.
Have fun exploring!
